- VCL> Before you do more troubleshooting, make sure you are using the latest

-
- 1.3n series is the latest general file/ROM for Rockwell-based chipseted
- modems. Supra have 1.4n in
- beta test at the moment. And Zoom has a 1.4n for its new "pocket" combined
- RPI+/hardware V34 model 470. Zoom WorldClass series (specific country non-
- FCC) are at 1.1n

- VCL> log into any manufacturer's BBS that uses Rockwell chips on their

-
- You can't use "any manufacturer's BBS that uses Rockwell chips." FlashROM
- codes and ROM updates are _not_ interchangeable between manufacturers.
- Erasing and burning in a PROM is _not_ an option. For a start that would
- invalidate the OEM's warranty, for another the original PROMs "window"
- which may allow reburning would've been already closed by original
- manufacture

- VCL> make the modem disregard the drop of DTR,
-
- This is right for Macs and other platforms that provide a DTE that does not
- provide DTR signal. Otherwise, on PCs, the software will inevitably report
- "carrier high". &d2 should be enabled
